• MINIMALIST DESIGN IMPROVED HEALTH
A minimalist room will give you a subtle peace of mind. Cluttered surroundings can cause us to stress. Living in a minimalist home gives you the time to concentrate on your health like improving your diet, exercising more, reducing your stress or getting a good night’s sleep. A simple home with fewer items but quality products will add balance to the home and make you happier.
• KEEP FURNITURE SIMPLE
There is a large variety of furniture available in the market. It is better and sensible to choose the furniture that is minimal and simple in design. So the other things can catch the center of attention like a piece of art etc.
• EASY UPKEEP
Adopting a minimalist design means there will be less clutter for the dust to settle on, so cleaning will be easier and you’ll be breathing in uncontaminated air.
A build-up of dust and allergens in your home creates a health hazard as it can cause all kinds of respiratory issues and illnesses.
• FINANCIAL FREEDOM
Minimalism and minimalist design gives you the opportunity to get out of debt. Instead of spending your pay check on disposable objects, you can invest in things that are going to
last a lifetime or create memories.
“Minimalism is not the lack of something
It’s simply the perfect amount of something”
• OPEN SPACE WITH MINIMALIST DESIGN
Avoid the temptation to fill space with furniture just because there’s plenty to fill. Really, the idea is to keep everything open when it comes to minimalist interior design. Again, cluttered surroundings can cause stress. In general this means being as efficient as possible with the space available. Minimalist houses can be fairly small in outline to ensure they are designed with function in mind.
• QUALITY
Make sure to have furnishings, accessories and decorations of high quality. As quality specifically matters over quantity in minimalist design.
• LIGHT COLOR PALETTE
To keep things calm and minimalist, try neutral hues. Light colors such as white along with neutrals and pastels are intrinsic to minimalist homes. Though you could add brighter colors, we suggest you stick to one or two and limit the dosage. The picture below uses beige and white to create a well-lit room.
In theory, Minimalism is an excellent way to reduce the excess clutter in your life and achieve a happier existence. Whether you’re designing a new space or looking to renovate your entire home be sure to adopt a minimalist approach for a healthier, happier, and cleaner home. Don’t think your new décor has to be boring. As you can see from our image selection minimalist design can be beautiful, warm, rich, and inviting.
